So I've been horrible about keeping this blog updated, but hopefully this will give a few pics to show what we've been up to.

Christmas was great! Nick got a Buzz Lightyear that he loves, and Benny got a "shoot the ball" (basketball hoop). It was really fun to see Nick get so excited about everything!

Benny turned 1 in March! I can't believe how big he is! We spent the day at the ball fields and celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa Randall and some of the other Randall family. He didn't touch much of his cake, just bits and pieces. He is such a sweet little boy, and has a BIG mischievous streak!

We also found out in March that we are expecting a little girl! We are so thrilled! We'll see if we can switch modes from boy to girl. I'm due August 7th!

So here's Nick with all the things he has to sleep with EVERYNIGHT! If you can't tell some of them are: Elmo, More Elmo, Teddy, bear, a drink, Buzz, Little Buzz, Woody, Yee-haw, Big Queen (Lightning McQueen), Little Queen, and Mater. It's quite the process making sure none of them get lost during the day!

Ben seems to randomly fall asleep places.  This one is my favorite. Notice the tennis ball and marker tightly held on to!

Enoch had a fundraiser and had a helicopter come so we had to go see it! Funny Nick wouldn't even go in it though-even though he LOVES them. We also got to see a fire truck, and an ambulance, but the highlight of the day for the boys was the park and swings that were there.

Ben recently has liked to put on the spiderman costume. As you can see it's too big, but it makes him look so cute!

One of Nick's favorite things to do is to take everything off the table, move the chairs, and pull his trains around the table.

We went fishing with cousins on free fishing day, and guess what! Nick caught and reeled in a fish all by himself! I had Ben, and Rob went to go grab more bait, and by the time he got back, Nick had a fish! It was only a couple inches long as you can see, but I was impressed.

Nick turned 3 a few weeks ago, and ever since he saw a video of his Elmo cake from last year, he's wanted 3 cakes, an Elmo cake, a Thomas the Train cake, and a tracks (train tracks) cake. So we did 2 of the 3. I have to say I was pretty impressed with myself. I made the whole thing from scratch. I even made homemade fondant! Nick absolutely loved it and had to show it off to anyone who came over! He's getting so big! I can't believe he's already 3. He is my sweet little boy and big helper!

Halloween

This is the first year that I've actually liked Halloween! I don't hate it, it's just not my thing, but Nick was so fun this year, I loved it!

Here's the boys carving pumkins.

The finished products. (Ben went to bed before it was done). Nick's is the "scary" one, and Ben's is winking.

Ben with his pumpkin the next day.

Ben and Nick in their costumes. Ben was a lil' devil, and Nick Spiderman-if you couldn't tell.

Nick has yet to take off his spiderman costume! He loves it.

We did a trunk or treat with our neighbors and Rob gave Ben a box of nerds while I was taking Nick around. Well, Ben chewed through the box and got about 5 in his mouth before we noticed. So even Ben got some Halloween candy!

Nick checking out the candy.

On Halloween we went trick or treating with Nick's friend Austin. It was soooo cute! Nick spiderman and Austin superman-not even planned! They would run to a house, get a treat, show us, say "another one", and RUN to the next one! It was quite adorable!

Happy Halloween.

Changes

So it's been a busy couple months for us, and the biggest news is that we sold our home! It was a sad and happy day.  We lived in a basement apartment for a couple months and just 2 weeks ago bought this duplex. We own both sides, and will live in one, and rent out the other. It needs a little work, but we're really excited and think it will be a good investment.

Another thing is Rob finally convinced me to cut Ben's hair, so it went from this (above)

To this

To this in all of a week! He looks completely different, but still cute as can be.

Also, Nick has become a great helper-especially eating with the treat making. He really does do quite a good job. He's getting so big!

And let's not forget Cornfest. As you can see both boys had a great time! But who doesn't have fun when you're surrounded by cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles all day!

This is our family with Rob's sister Angel at her book signing here in Cedar. She just published her first book and I do have to say it's adorable! It's called "Snow Angels" by Angel Randall. Deseret Book has it if you want to check it out. We are so proud of her!

It's been a great couple months, and we are so looking forward to the holidays! Hope you enjoyed the update!

Reunion

So I know everyone will be shocked about getting another post, but we just had a family reunion and got some really great pictures.

Nick got SOAKED with kool-aid! He wouldn't leave the container alone. Oh well, we were just camping.

Of course a baseball game!

Of course playing in the pond consisted of sticks, feeding the fish, and trying to catch them.
Luckily, no one fell in!

Nick with cousins Porter and Jaxen just playing around.

Ben and me just hanging out.

So every year we make bottle rockets and set them off. Well this year was no different, except the cord that you pull to set it off broke off.  So our 19 year old nephew volunteered to hold it while it was pumped up by his brother. This is how much water was sprayed on him every time one was set off-uh there are 55 grandkids. Needless to say, it made for lots of fun, and luckily no one got hurt.

Uncle Ben with Baby Ben.

Of course swimming at Grandma's is always a necessity!

And here is how the weekend ended! Obviously it was a lot of fun!
Thanks for all the fun!

Blessing, birthday, and zoo

So I know it's been forever, but here's a few glimpses of our latest fun.  Ben was blessed last month and we had a lot of family come and support us.  It was great and Ben didn't cry through the whole thing!  The blessing was beautiful and I'm so grateful for a wonderful worthy priesthood holder who leads our home.

Nick turned 2 the first part of June!  I can't believe it!  He's gotten so big and is talking so well!  He's big into Elmo, so I made an Elmo cake-I think it turned out ok. It was really cute, he actually could blow out his candles this year.

He also is in a tie phase-he wears one almost everyday and sleeps with one on on a regular basis, so we got him a new tie and he immediately put it on and didn't want to take it off!

Don't worry, we did get him a tonka truck too!

We also visited my family and went to the zoo!  Nick really liked the "roars" aka Dinosaurs they had there, and the carousel.  I was sad that they didn't have any lions or bears, but Nick still had fun.  At least they had monkeys!

Us on the train!  I can't believe how fast time flies!  Happy summer everyone.
